Utah falls are always really short, so whenever I travel during the fall I get really nervous all the leaves will change colors and fall off the trees before…

So last week when I went to pick Beckam up in Montana (he stayed with my parents while Cody and I were in Europe) he saw this moose in the airport gift shop and yelled MOOSE! Honestly I didn’t even know he knew what a moose was, but I was excited he was eyeing a stuffed animal. It’s not that I was hesitant to get my first pair of combat boots, but I was really picky about getting the right pair.

I wanted something that wasn’t too bulky but that was still really versatile so I could get a lot of wear out of them. Then I saw these and loved them soooo much I had to have them (felt the same way about this pair too). The striped ankle strap is such a good detail and I love the white laces that make them pop.

They definitely have a casual, sporty feel to them but I’ve already worn them with so much! An edgy combat boot is the perfect way to amp up a casual jeans and sweater look (just got this style in both black and this wash and I love the cropped hi-low hem – so unique!) You can also pair your combat boots with a mini skirt for more of a feminine balance. I ordered this velvet one and it’s a great option to bring into your fall rotation (this one runs a little big so size down if you are between sizes).

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.

One of my favorite big trends this season is the bold colors we are seeing everywhere – color always makes such a statement! I was instantly obsessed with this dress when I saw it – the rich orange tones with the blues and green make it perfect for the season and so unique.
